Students observe and evaluate how to properly knead dough
Discuss how over kneading can make dough tough
Evaluate results
Discuss and evaluate results
Students fill out lab sheet as we evaluate and discuss

Tuesday
Students in lab - prepare individual pizza doughs.  After being graded the students in each lab may choose to combine dough for one large pizza or make individual pizzas.
cover in wax paper and store  in refrigerator overnight .

Wednesday
Student day 2 in lab - top pizza with chosen ingredients

Thursday
Discuss lab results and grades
Discuss Ch. 50 - Fruits and Vegetables
Quiz on storage methods of fruits and veggies

Friday
Discuss next lab -  Salad/vegetables
Prepare lab sheet and orders for next lab

Demonstrate methods for cutting fruits and veggies
Students will fill in lab sheet to accompany demo
Demonstrate how to make a recipe that will be made the following day in the fruit and vegetable lab.

Tuesday
Students prepare recipe for first day of lab

Wednesday
Students continue where they left off with lab the day before.
Complete preparation, eat, and clean.

Thursday
Discuss lab results
Quiz over details of lab
WS about fruits and vegetables

Friday
Demonstrate fruit drinks that can be made with a blender

Students locate sizes on pattern envelope
Students will locate supplies needed for pattern they have chosen
Students cut patterns

Tuesday
Discuss pattern symbols
Demonstrate pattern layout with dress pattern the teacher will make to illustrate to student the steps in clothing construction

Wednesday
Teacher cut out pattern
Talk about how to pin effectively

Thursday
Demonstrate locating and marking pattern symbols
Mark the symbols

Friday
Students determine whether pattern will fit properly
Introduce French curves and how they can be used in fitting garments
Demonstrate on student patterns alteration methods. 
Students will apply knowledge of alteration by altering patterns as needed.

Monday
Students begin pattern layout

Tuesday
After pinning and layout has been checked, students may cut material.
Demonstrate how to sew darts on teacher garment
Explain and illustrate reading and following pattern instruction.  (Instructions are sometimes hard to decipher.)

Wednesday through Friday
Students continue pattern layout, pinning and cutting.  Some students who do not yet have fabric will work with others on pattern layout and will reverse roles to give support to classmates in the problem solving of garment constructions.
