Title: The Four Seasons

Abstract: This lesson will present information pertaining to the 4 seasons. The students will be given a first hand look at what happens during each season of the year.

Objective(s):The students will be able to name and identify the 4 seasons. The students will be able to think-pair-share about what happens during each season. The students will be able to complete a review worksheet based on the video with 80% accuracy.

Standards: Standard MST4: Science Students will understand and apply scientific concepts, principles, and theories pertaining to the physical setting and living environment and recognize the historical development of ideas in science. Standard ELA1: Language for Information and Understanding Students will read, write, listen, and speak for information and understanding. Standard ELA4: Language for Social Interaction Students will read, write, listen, and speak for social interaction

Materials: Computer Video Kepyboard to complete eWorksheet Mouse

Strategy(ies): Provide examples to questions Offer choices for rewards (if they get a certain percentage correct they will receive a sticker)

Method of Technology Integration: Using a computer to show a video on the lesson being taught.

Opening Activity: To begin the lesson I will have 4 different pictures hung up along the room with a piece of chart paper next to them. Each picture will be of a different season. Before watching the video we will discuss as a class what happens during each season. (prior knowledge)

Savings Plan: Yes, the students will be saving their work on the desktop in a folder that I will have already created for them. They will also print out a hard copy to hand in. The file name will be SEASONS

Procedure: 1. Complete anticipatory activity (listed above) 2. Watch video on the 4 Seasons 3. Work with a partner (think-pair-share) to complete eWorksheet and discuss what they saw on the video. 4. Have students save their eWorksheet in the SEASONS folder and print a hard copy to hand in. 5. To close the lesson, come back together as a class and go back to each season's chart paper and add what we have learned from the video.

Closing Activity: #5 of the procedure as stated above.

Assessment and Evaluation: I will be assessing the students by listening to their ideas as we discuss what they learned from the video and by their answers to the eWorksheet.
