Need to know all the right steps to write a lab report?  Here they are:

Purpose
Hypothesis
Materials
Procedures
Data
Analysis
Conclusion

SAMPLE:

I. PURPOSE
The purpose of this lab is to determine the percent sugar  (by weight) in regular bubble gum.

II. HYPOTHESIS
I think that there will be between 50 and 60% sugar in my gum.

III. MATERIAL
1 piece regular flavored Bazooka gum
wrapper
balance

IV. PROCEDURE
The procedures for this lab were previously discussed in class.  Please use that information as a guide for this part of your lab report.

V. DATA
mass of unchewed gum + paper = 5.47g
mass of chewed gum + paper = 2.29g

VI. ANALYSIS

mass of sugar = mass of unchewed gum - mass of chewed gum = 4.37g - 1.19g = 3.18g

% sugar (by weight) = mass of sugar / mass of unchewed gum * 100 = (3.18/4.37) * 100 = 72.8%

VII. CONCLUSION
My hypothesis was incorrect.

THAT'S ALL -- not too bad!
