PLAN FOR WEEK OF AUGUST 21, 2000
- Because of Friday's fire drill, we didn't get into the new subject of Agency. We'll begin Tuesday with a quick-quiz (no points, just to see if you get the major principles) and discuss the cases assigned:
You'll See Seafood
22.1, 22.7, 22.14, 22.16
- We begin our discussion of the different types of business orgainzations with Sole Proprietorships. Then we'll get into franchises (like McDonalds). Besides discussing how to form these businesses, we'll discuss the liabilities of those involved (contract and tort) and some basic business concepts which we will explore in the other forms of business organizations as well.
EXTRA CREDIT ... WWW.CHEESMAN
- Let me know if you would like to work with me on a project to see if I should use the on-line version of Cheesman's text, and create a Business Law Course web page. Mostly, I'll ask you to check out different web sites and let me know what you think of them. If I can get the OK from the publisher, we may take a trial run on the web page offered by Prentice Hall. Besides giving me important student insight, you will expose yourselves to lots of additional information about the topics we cover.
- The LEXIS training person will be in the DFL Conference Room Wed & Thurs (Aug 23 & 24). Let me know if you'd like to attend, and which period.
