Conflict
There are many forms of conflict in the story, but the one that is most apparent is Man Vs. Man. For example, the white people do not like the Indians, so they fight against them. Another perfect example is when True Son and Half Arrow scalp, or tried to scalp, Uncle Wilse. Another example, though not so plain as the nose on your face, is Man Vs. Himself. When True Son was taken from his Indian parents, he debated with himself whether or not to eat the root of the May Apple, a poisonous plant. Both conflicts are important because they add serious spice to the story. If True Son had not thought about eating the root of the May Apple, the story would be very dull.
