Day 2
February 25 - March 1, 2002

Tuesday: Tonight you are going to read about how Africa was divided up among
members of the European nations.  Read pages 635 - 639 in your
textbook.

I’m very concerned that many of your skip reading assignments and rely
solely on the material presented in class.  I can’t emphasize enough the
importance of these few reading assignments.  Make it a point to
complete them.

Wednesday: Watch NBC Nightly news from 6:30 - 7:00 pm.

Thursday: Read the poem titled, “The White Man’s Burden” by Rudyard Kipling.

Friday: Have a fantastic weekend.  We’ll see you on Monday.

Monday: Answer question #6 on page 639 of your textbook.  You do not have to
write a poem, you can write a song, create an illustration that projects
your feeling or write a creative story about your emotions.
