Welcome to 7th Grade Math!!  I'm so glad that you are in my class.  This year will be challenging but a lot of FUN!!  I can't wait to get everything in high gear.

HEY YOU!!
I found a cool site called Funbrain.com.  There is all kind of fun stuff there, not just math.  Try out it all!!  I did get a chance to make a "Word Problem Quiz" you can try for practice.  You need to have the following info though to pull up our class stuff.  The site will even send me the results to your quiz so do well!! THIS QUESTION IS WORTH FIVE TICKETS WITH A CORRECT ANSWER
Yesterday when I stopped to fill up my diesel, I found that the pumps now registered in liters, although the price was posted at $1.12 per gallon.  I wanted to compute the mileage my car was getting, but I could not remember the conversion factor from liters to gallons.  All I did know is that I had driven 368 miles since the last fill-up and that the total bill was $14.28.      What mileage is my car getting?
