Dear Students and Parents,
Hello, and welcome to the 1999-2000 school year. I am looking forward to being your/your child's math teacher this year, and have many activities planned that I hope will be fun as well as educational.
In the way of introduction, let me give you some personal information about myself. I was born and raised in Michigan, where I received my bachelor's degree in education, with a minor in math, from Eastern Michigan University. I taught elementary school for 12 years before moving to middle school two years ago. This is will be my third year to teach 7th grade math, and I enjoy it thoroughly!
I am married, but have no children (outside of school!). My husband and I live on the San Bernard River outside of Brazoria, where we enjoy swimming, boating and waterskiing. Other hobbies of mine include reading, decorating, sewing and growing houseplants.
I will use this web page primarily to keep parents informed as to what is going on in class -- homework assignments, project due dates, classroom activities, etc. No personal information about individual students will be posted here. Please feel free to e-mail me (parents and students) at any time, as the e-mail address given is not a personal account, it is specifically for school.
If for any reason you would like to speak to me on the phone or in person, please call the school at 409-849-4318 and leave me a message, and I will get back to you.
Again, I'm looking forward to a great year.
