The Maine Student Book Award is a voluntary reading program that students can participate in outside of their regular language arts classroom. The reading lists, books, and follow-up forms are found in the BEMS library. Check with Mrs. Bowers about getting involved in this fun reading program.
Here's how it works:
Sign up for the program with Mrs. Bowers
Check out the list of books from which to read
Choose one and get started!
When finished, see Mrs. Bowers for a review form and enter it into the box (the more books you read from the list, the better your chances are for winning a prize!)
Check with your language arts teacher about getting extra credit!
At the end of the year, we meet to vote on the books and decide on our choices. We then send our list of books read with our reviews to the MSB awards committee
When the results are announced, we will celebrate with a party in the library for all who participated in the program by reading at least three books from the list!
