During the fourth six weeks, kindergarten will be working on the following skills and reviewing skills from the first 3 six weeks.

Language Arts:
--naming beginning sound of words
--recognizing letters:  Kk, Gg, Ee, Bb, Hh, and wh
--knowing letter sounds:  Kk, Gg, Ee, Bb, Hh, and wh
--sight words: for, he, she, has, with
--sequencing events

--counting to 100 by 1's and 10's
--finding patterns in the 100 chart
--fractions (whole & half)
--ordinal placement (first-tenth)
--time to the hour

We will be celebrating the 100th day of school this six weeks, and we will be doing all sorts of exploration activities with the number 100. Don't forget to check your newsletter each week for current information and reminders.


Please keep reviewing letters and sounds that have been introduced thus far.  Also remember to practice the sight words we work on each week.  The weekly take home books are a great way to help your child practice those words.  Thanks for your participation in the lap reading program.
