This webpage was designed to asssist physicians and students in understanding of platelet disorders.

Proper platelet function during hemostasis requires a complex collabortation between extracellular matrix proteins, platelet receptors, cell signaling molecules and plasma proteins.

Major advances that greatly impact the diagnosis and treatment of thrombotic disorders were achieved in this area due to advances in biochemistry, geneteics and biotechnology.

Platelets disrders and the test required toi diagnose them will be discussed.
