Welcome to my PSAT/SAT Review Page! I have prepared a few quizzes and games for you to access in order to practice for your tests. (See the selections below.) I will update these with new activities from time to time, so check back. These activities will cover analogies, sentence completions, and writing. For the reading, remember: (1) to read the first sentence three times to "focus" on the selection; (2) do not read for detail because the questions will refer you to lines for details; (3) instead, read for "main idea" and overall comprehension. There are other "hints" which you received in tutorials. Most of these practice quizzes will come from actual SATs, some of which you may have already seen. However, it doesn't matter how many times you see the questions; what does matter is that you practice, again and again, the main concepts, rules, and tricks. Remember that the people who score in the highest percentile do not do so accidentally: they prepare as they would for any important contest or competition. To score as well as possible, you must give yourself practice test after practice test, TIMED, and learn from the ones you miss. Then practice again! Here is the main trick to the PSAT/SATs: PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE Let me know if these activities help and/or if you have suggestions for other activities which would help you. I'll say a prayer for you on Tuesday morning, asking for you to have composure and confidence. GOOD LUCK! Sherry Blankenship
