Daily Work

5-30: We took the notebook and workbook quizzes.

5-26: We took the final chapter exam.

5-25: We went over the assignments from Tuesday and reviewed for tomorrow's test.

5-24: Today was the day we attended the North Clayton play about nonviolence.

5-23: The following activities were done in class:
Workbook P.113-A, B, C   P. 114-E
Textbook : P. 261-B, 262-C(write sentences for both sections)

5-22: We learned how to form affirmative and negative commands.  These can be found on pages 260, 261, and 263 in the textbook.

5-19: We took the final vocabulary quiz.

5-18: We went over CW 2 and did P.105-H in the workbook in class.  We also watched another installment of "El Cid."

5-17: We went over the assignment on P. 238-B.  We also got our final crosswords and did CW 1 in class.  CW 2 is homework.

5-16: We began learning the passive voice and indefinite subject concept in Spanish. This can be found on P.238 in the textbook. The homework assignment is P. 238-B. Answer the 5 questions in Spanish.

5-15: In the workbook, we did P. 98-D, P.100-F, and P. 101-G in class.  We then watched another part of "El Cid."

5-12: We watched the beginning of "El Cid."

5-11: We got and went over the Final vocabulary list.  A link to the words is right below.

5-10: We took the Chapter 7 Exam.

5-9: We did a practice test for Chapter 7.

5-8: We reviewed for the Chapter 7 Exam.

5-5: We took the Chapter 7 vocabulary test.

5-4: We did a board activity which dealt with the Future Progressive.

5-3: we went over the workbook activities and reviewed the 3 progressive tenses.

5-2: We went over CW 7-2 and I assigned the following exercises in the workbook for homework: P. 69-A, P. 71-C, P.72 D and E.

5-1: We received the Crosswords for Cahpter 7 and did CW 7-1 in class.  We also learned the Present, Past, and Future Progressive tenses.

4-28: We watched another part of "Don Quixote."

4-27: Most students were busy "working" with a parent, so we had a study day.

4-26: We went over to vocabulary list for Chapter 7 on P.187 in the textbook.

4-25: Classwork assignmentsL P. 169-C and D, P.172-A and B. Copy all questions and answers in Spanish. Also, you were to copy and look up the vocabulary words on P.187. This is your vocabulary list for Chapter 7.

4-21: We watched the Spanish baseball video.

4-20: We watched the 1st part of the Don Quixote video.

4-19: We took the Chapter 6 Exam.

4-18: We did another board activity on the Present Perfect and reviewed how to conjugate haber and how to form past participles.

4-17: We did a board activity on the Present Perfect and reviewed the format for creating this compound verb tense.

4-14: We took the numbers quiz.

4-13: We did a crossword puzzle on the numbers in Spanish and reviewed numbers for our quiz on Friday.

4-12: In the workbook, we did Exercise B on P.61. The work was checked and we went over it in class.

4-11: We reviewed the Present Perfect Tense(P.148, 151)  We also went over the workbook activities on p.60 and 61.

4-10: We reviewed numbers in Spanish up to 1,000,000.

3-31: Competition!!

3-30: We finished the "Salsariffic Spanish-Part 1" video.

3-29: We watched the 1st part of the "Salsariffic Spanish" video.

3-28: We performed our dialogues!!

3-27: We went over some Spanish tongue-twisters to help with our pronounciation and practiced our dialogues.

3-24: We took the chapter 6 vocabulary quiz.

3-23: We went over crossword 6-2 and practiced the dialogues. We will go over the workbook assignment on Monday.

3-22: We went over crossword 6-1 and began studying the present perfect tense. Information about this tense can be found on pages 148 and 151 in your textbook. I also assigned workbook pages 60-F and 61-A as homework which is due on Thursday.(along with crossword 6-2)

3-21: We did a board activity which compared the six verb tenses we have learned so far in Spanish. I also handed out the Crosswords for Chapter 6. Crossword 6-1 is due on Wednesday. 6-2 is due on Thursday.

3-20: In the workbook we did P. 57-A & B and P. 59-D as an in-class assignment and went over it.  We also practiced our dialogues.

3-17: I gave out the vocabulary list for Chapter 6 and we went over the words. If you have lost your list or have questions about the words, you can click on the link below.

3-16: We watched(and finished) the video on Ecuador.

3-15: We took the Chapter 5 test.

3-14: We practiced the dialogues and watched the 1st part of the video on Ecuador.

3-13: We did a board activity on the conditional tense and I handed out our new dialogues.

3-10: We took the Chapter 5 Vocabulary Quiz.  I also assigned the following exercise for homework due on 3-13: P.116-B, P.117-D, P.120-B and P.123-A.

3-9: We went over Crossword 5-2 and also went over P.125-B. We also had computer time for the games and activities for the Chapter 5 vocabulary list.

3-8: I gave out the Crosswords for Chapter 5.  We went over Crossword 5-1 in class and 5-2 is due for homework tomorrow.

3-7: We learned the Conditional verb tense found on pages 122 and 124 in your textbook.  I also assigned P. 125-B for homework.

3-6: We went over the vocabulary list for chapter 5 and did the county resume assessment(no grade).

3-3: Mr. Rahn assigned the vocabulary for Chapter 5.  You will find it in your textbook on Page 137.  There is no handout vocabulary list for this chapter, but you can click on the link below to see it.

3-1: We took the Notebook Quiz and watched the 1st part of a PowerPoint Presentation on Spain.

2-29: We took the Clemente Quiz and finshed watching the video on Spain.

2-28: We took the Workbook Quiz and watched the 1st part of the cultural video on Spain.

2-25: We took the Chapter 4 Exam.

2-24: We did a board activity that dealt with the irregular future tense verbs and reviewed for the chapter 4 exam.

2-23: We went over the textbok activities P. 88 A and B. We also went over the list of possessive adjectives, which will be included on your Chapter 4 exam.

2-22: We finished watching the video on Roberto Clemente and reviewed the irregular future verb forms on pages 86 and 87 in the textbook.  I also assigned exercises A and B from the textbook as homework due on 2-23.

2-18: We went over the workbook activities on P. 34.  I also gave the handout on Roberto Clemente and we watched the first part of the video on him.

2-17: We took the Chapter 4 Vocabulary Quiz.

2-16: We went over the irregular Future tense verb forms in the textbook on Pages 86 and 87.  I also assigned P. 34 exercises A, B, and C in the workbook for homework.

2-15: I checked Crossword 4-2 and we went over it in class. We also took the Quiz over the Panama Invasion.

2-14: I gave out the Crossword Puzzles for Chapter 4 and we did CW 4-1 in class.  4-2 is due on Tuesday.  We also discussed the handout on the Panama invasion in preparation for our quiz on 2-15.

2-11: We went over the workbook activities on Pages 31, 32, and 33.  I also introduced the irregular future tense verbs and passed out the handout on the Panama Invasion.

2-10: I checked the workbook activities from pages 31, 32, and 33. We also finished the video on the Panama Invasion.

2-9: We watched the 1st part of the video on the Panama Invasion.  We will finish the video on 2-10.

2-8: We got and went over the vocabulary list for Chapter 4.  I assigned the following workbook activities for homework: P.31-A, P. 32-B, and P.33-D.

2-7: We took the Chapter 3 Exam.

2-4: We did a board activity using the future tense verb forms and reviewed for our Chapter 3 exam.

2-3: We went over the workbook assignment(P.27) and began working on our PowerPoint presentatations.

2-2: I gave notes on Comparatives and Superlatives(P.64 in the textbook) and I assigned workbook P. 27-B, C for homework due on 2-3.

2-1: We reviewed the Future Tense and did a Power Point Activity.(8 sentences)

1-31: We took the Chapter 3 vocabulary quiz.

1-28: OOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPSSSSSSS!! No school today!!

1-27: We did 4 sentences from the main board and went over P.26-A in the workbook.

1-26: We did Crossword 3-2 in class and went over it.  We also went over P. 25-F in the workbook.

1-25: We did Crossword 3-1 in class and went over it.  Crossword 3-2 is homework due on Wednesday.  We will finish going over the workbook assignment on pages 25 and 26 on Wednesday.

1-24: We did 4 sentences from the board and learned the FUTURE tense verb conjugations.(textbook page 62).  I also made a workbook assignment: P. 25-F and P. 26-A.

1-21: We watched a video on Elian González, the Cuban boy who is the source of a great debate.

1-20: We did four more sentences from the main board and went over the vocabulary list for Chapter 3.

1-19: We did four sentences from the main board.
