Holston High School Horticulture Instructor
Horticulture is designed as a four-year occupational preparation course offered at the 9-12 grade level. The horticulture program is designed to assist students in developing the necessary knowledge, skills, habits, and attitudes for entry employment and advancement in areas such as floriculture, landscape design, greenhouse operations, nursery plant production, and turf management. Students receive instruction in using soil and other plant growing media and in identifying, propagating, and growing horticultural plants in the greenhouse and land laboratory. Instruction is provided in safety practices and leadership development.
