Journal Entries Guidelines
1. Title: should reflect the content of your journal entry
2. Thesis: what you intend to prove. It should be clear and underlined. Usually this is part of the introduction.
3. Supporting evidence: Examples from the text that supports your thesis. This is the body of your entry and where you conduct most of the explanation.
4. Conclusion: what you draw from your 2 & 3 above; what you believe the text / film tells its audience based on your analysis. It should bring a sense of closure to your comments.
Every entry journal must be typed in double space, using a 12-point font. They must be about 300 words long. I expect you to edit carefully so that your papers are well articulated with clear ideas as well as correct grammar and spelling.
