wringer Mrs. Boynton
You are reading "Wringer", a story about Palmer LaRue who fears age 10 more than anything!  Why? In his town, turning 10 means becoming a "wringer".  At the annual pigeon shoot, 5000 pigeons are let loose and shot.  As the pigeons fall, the ten year old boys in town are expected to wring the necks of the pigeons, finalizing their deaths.  Palmer's dilemna?  Should he become a wringer to fit in with the other boys or should he stand up for what he believes in?

You will have a series of tasks to complete during our study of "Wringer".  The sites listed will provide you with information that may be helpful.
