Pop-ups: Choose the correct answer from a list of choices.

a e i

"a" can be two different sounds in Danish - a flat "a" as in "banAn" or a deep "a" as in "Antarktis".

"e" is usually pronounced "e" (as in "elevator"), but sometimes the letter "e" is pronounced as "æ" (as in "hen"). At the end of a syllable, "e" can also become a schwa sound (as in "stole").

"i" is just i, but sometimes the letter "i" is pronounced as "e" (as in "ind")

Listen to the sound file and choose the right option: iea
