Upgrade of Java Quiz: Igneous Rocks 2

Igneous rocks are those that form when magma cools and solidifies by crystallization of silicate minerals. Bowen's Silicate Reaction Series Model predicts what grouping of silicate minerals will occur together. Ultramafic mineral content will be olivine-rich or olivine + pyroxene, mafic contents will be pyroxene + Ca-plagioclase, intermediate contents will be amphibole + Na-plagioclase, and felsic contents will be K-orthoclase + quartz.
