SurSp Oral Interview Spring 2010

NOTE: If you have written permission for extended test times from Student Accommodations, do NOT take the oral test here. Contact your instructor via email for special instructions. All other students must adhere to the following:

NOTE: THIS IS AN ORAL TEST. YOU DON'T WRITE ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR THE FIRST QUESTION. YOU ONLY SPEAK FOR THE REMAINING QUESTIONS.

Do not hit the BACK button on your browser or the BACKSPACE key for any reason.

You will have exactly 8 minutes for this 20-question, closed-book, closed-notes test. You will see one phrase at a time for which you will say the Spanish equivalent quickly and then move on to the next phrase. Either you know the phrase in Spanish or you don't. Guess if you don't know the answer. You will not be able to go back once you've clicked ‘submit’ for a given phrase.

IMPORTANT: You are allowed ONLY one attempt at this test. If you enter the test site (if you start the test) more than once you will receive a grade of zero.

You will follow the instructions from the website here and speak your answers into an answering machine:

From any telephone, dial (414) 455-1282. An answering machine will pick up the call. You will take the test by leaving a message according to the following directions:

FIRST: Just once at the beginning of your message, Say your FIRST and LAST NAME, the course name, "Survival Spanish" and the section number, either 900I or 901I. The section number is in the Blackboard course link when you log in. << Very important!!!!!

Then, 1- Say the question number in English.

2- Say the ENGLISH phrase.

3- Say the equivalent IN SPANISH of the given English phrase.

4- Click ‘submit answer’ (to go to the next phrase).

Note that the first question will ask that you write a statement promising not to cheat.
