Offering our customers the ability to make payment over the phone is a great way for Alliance Data to generate revenue and increase options for our customers. However, there are strict legal guidelines in place to protect the security of both the bank and the customer. NACHA (National Automated Clearing House Association) provides the regulatory guidelines that must be followed when a customer makes a pay-by-phone. As a financial institution, we are required to follow these guidelines. In a recent audit by the ROQC (Retail Operations Quality Control) group, it was found that we are not always in compliance with these guidelines.
