HW Week 8 #2: Inequalities: conjunctions (and) & disjunctions (or)

BE CAREFUL AND SHOW WORK. You will not be able to fix problems since they are all multiple choice. You must retake the quiz if you make too many mistakes. Full credit is all 5 questions correct, or 100%. Anything less will be partial credit.

You will solve conjunctions like " 2x-3 > -7 AND 2x-3 < 15 which can also be written in this form: -7 < 2x-3 < 15

You will solve disjunctions like " 4x + 7 < 35 OR 3x > 72 "

A conjunction ("and") is formed by connecting TWO inequalities with the word "AND" (the graphs are usually a finite segment or overlapping line in one direction).

A disjunction ("or") is formed by connecting TWO inequalities with the word "OR" (the graphs are two arrows to infinity in opposite directions, in most cases).
