Individual (Formatted) Paragraph Development #3


Assuming you had written an introduction and it had ended with the thesis statement to follow, you are to continue with the already begun process and create the second body paragraph that would correlate.

Thesis Statement (THIS IS ONLY FOR YOUR INSTRUCTIONAL GUIDE AND SHOULD BE NOWHERE IN YOUR PARAGRAPH):

All high schools in Las Vegas should provide their 9th graders with a laptop to use throughout all four years of high school.


You will need the following:
1) A topic Sentence
2) The point(s) to be brought up
3) The reasoning behind the point(s)
4) The examples/ elaboration for each point/reason

This paragraph must start with a topic sentence and must include at least two points (more if necessary) . In addition, the paragraph must have each of the following information highlighted in the coordinating colors: DO NOT CHANGE THE COLORS OR REORDER THEM. THIS WILL AFFECT YOUR GRADE.

Topic Sentence = Pink

Point
(#2 - Evidence) = Green

Reason
(#3 - Analysis, Significance, Importance, etc) = Blue

Example
(#4 Elaboration) = Yellow

In order to receive the highest grade possible, the following should also be checked for:

• Everything should be written in third person.
• There should be no run-ons/ fragments.
• Everything should be written in consistent tense.
• There should be no contractions used.
• There should be no awkward wording/ phrasing.
• There should be no incorrect/ missing comma usage, etc.


You will not be able to submit this assignment online. It must be typed out, double spaced, 12pt font, and turned in on the designated date. This is only to reinforce the requirements for this assignment
