Rigor

#1 Rigor exists when students engage in higher order thinking skills to solve problems in predictable and unpredictable situations.

#2 Rigor is defined as critically applying higher order thinking skills through relevant problem solving in predictable and unpredictable situations.

#3 Rigor requires students to exercise relevant higher order and critical thinking skills to create solutions and foster innovation in predictable and/or unpredictable interdisciplinary situations.

#4 Rigor is creating an environment in which each student is expected to learn at high levels, each student is supported so he/she can learn at high levels, and each student demonstrates learning at high levels.
