Using iPads in the MFL classroom to personalise learning and motivate students.

You are being invited to take part in a research study. Before you decide it is important that you understand why the research is being done and what it involves.

Please take time to read the following information. Ask me if there is anything that is not clear or if you would like more information. Take time to decide if you want to take part or not.

Introduction This study is part of my dissertation for an MA in Advanced Educational Practice, looking into the use of iPads in the MFL classroom to personalise learning and motivate students. The Principal, students and parents/carers will be asked to fill in a consent form to allow students to participate.

The lessons The first part of this is the teaching of a unit of work on tenses. During this unit of work, the use of iPads in the classroom will be maximised to promote personalisation of learning for students.

The questionnaire The questionnaire is intended for all participants, to gather data and their own views on aspects of the project.

The answers will be confidential, and will be made anonymous so that participants cannot be identified in the final study.

Please note that participation is voluntary and that participants are able to withdraw at any stage. Any student who withdraws will not be singled out, no data about them will be used in the study and they will still be included in all normal classroom activities.

If you have questions about the study do not hesitate to contact:
