Remember, we have started the 2nd marking period. All of your work from the 1st marking period has been used to formulate a grade for that marking period. I have no work to show 2nd marking periods grades at the moment. Concentrate on getting a good start to the marking period.

TEST ALERT
The Chapter 5 test scheduled for Wednesday, November 19th has been postponed to Thursday.. Since this test in on adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing positive and negative decimals and fractions, students will not be allowed to use calculators on them.

QUIZ ALERT
There are no scheduled quizzes in the near future.

EXTRA CREDIT ALERT
Draw a picture or explain a situation that could be described by multiplying a negative and positive number. You can use any number.

For example: -4 x 3 = -12
(-4 times 3 = -12)

Your job will be to show a picture explaining how this works or explain a situation where you would be multiplying a negative number by a positive number and getting a negative result.
