Course Title Reactive Attatchment Disorder Signs and Syptoms 3 C.E.U.'s for Ohio Social Workers, and Foster Parents .3 C.E.U.'s for Teachers and Guidance Counselors Course Description There is no developmental phase more critical to mental health than that of 0-5. Infants and children who do not receive physical, emotional and social bonding experiences can develop a mental disorder known as Reactive Attachment Disorder. This disorder is associated with symptoms ranging from depression and anxiety to antisocial behaviors such as bullying, lying and stealing. This class will review the signs and symptoms of Reactive Attachment Disorder and help the learner to understand this disorder as one highly correlated with disruptions in early bonding to the caregiver. Goals & Objectives As a result of attending this session, students will:
Identify the critical nature of early attachment and bonding.
