This week we are learning:
Religion:
Chapter #21 ~We will learn that the Holy Spirit helps us to follow Jesus by doing good and avoiding evil. We will name ways we can follow the inspirations of the Holy Spirit and reflect Jesus' goodness. As a reminder, we will create a Poster with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We will also retell the story of Saint Dominic Savio, who overcame temptation. Sacrament preparation: This week we will talk about how we belong to a family , a community and, a neighborhood. Like the people in the early Church, we are also baptized. At our Baptism, we are joined to Jesus and become members of the Catholic Church.
Reading:
Our story's Genre is a Play. Herbie learns that Annabelle thinks he is a good writer and that makes him feel good about himself. We will identify a cause as the reason something happens and an effect as what happens. Also, we are looking for clue words such as becuase, since, so, if, and then to identify causes. The use of context clues to determine the meaning of a multiple-meaning word will be addressed in this lesson.
