Accepting Proposals for Serious Game Development in the Piedmont Triad
The Piedmont Triad Design Consortium, Serious Gaming Group, is an industry-education initiative supported by the Piedmont Triad Partnership (PTP) through a Wired grant from the US Department of Labor. The consortium is now accepting proposals from area organizations for the development of interactive media/serious game projects. This technical assistance is offered to introduce organizations to the teaching and learning capabilities of serious games.
The funding will support the planning, and building of up to three games. There is no cash funding available for the project partner. The games will be developed by an industry and education team in collaboration with the project partner who will have access to utilize the game to further their mission. Special attention will be paid to the areas of health care, logistics and distribution, advanced manufacturing, and creative enterprises. Topics submitted for game development need to be relevant and current and help solve a problem or need. Some examples of areas conducive to serious games include training, sales, leadership, compliance and first responders.

Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin)
