WHEN IS THE FAIR?

MEETINGS: Club meets every Wednesday at lunch. Come to talk to your mentor or get help from Ms. Payton. Club attendance is optional, you are welcome to participate without attending the club - the club is here to support you.
PROCESS:
1. Register for the science fair by joining this site. Follow the steps on this link to regster for the class http://www.quia.com/servlets/quia.web.QuiaWebManager?tagModuleType=10600&tagCurrentClassId=819801
2. Take the Survey:Science Fair ENTRY FORM below
3. Design an experiment. Choose an Independent (What are you are testing) and Dependent (What you are measuring) Variable. If you need help deciding what to study click the links below that are for topic help.
4. Check your experiment with a mentor. Make sure it's a controlled experiment.
5. Conduct your experiment. Run your tests and collect data.
6. Present your findings at the SCIENCE FAIR!!
POSTER ITEMS: Your poster should include the following sections
1. Title. Large and centered.
2. Problem. Statement of question you are trying to solve
3. Hypothesis. Your prediction about what you will discover
4. Procedures. Step by step instructions for what you did to conduct your experiment.
5.Data Tables. All the data you collected in tables. You should have multiple trials
6. Graph.
7. Pictures or visual aids (optional)
8. Results. A write up in paragraph form that states what you discovered.
9. Conclusions. A write up in paragraph that answers your problem, addresses your hypothesis and attempts to explain why the results turned out the way they did.
