Let me be one of the first to encourage you to spend plenty of time studying for the upcoming DISTRICT FBLA ON-LINE COMPETITION. Like in years past, your testing will be held on our campus on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25, 2011, beginning at 8:00 a.m. that day.

There will be approximately 100 mutliple choice questions about CAREER EXPLORATION on the test. You will have 1 hour to complete the comprehensive test.

On the test there will be questions about the following:

resumes
job interviews
job searches
applications
human relations
business letters
figuring gross and net pay
other career related topics

Please note that I have prepared an extensive resource list of study materials for your competition preparation. The resources are located on this page in QUIA.COM and you will be expected to complete the majority of quizzes, games, and other activities. YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO SIGN IN EACH TIME YOU WORK SO THAT I WILL HAVE A RECORD OF YOUR PREPARATION. IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE $50.00 1ST PRIZE AT DISTRICT AND $150.00 1ST PLACE AT STATE, A RECORD OF YOUR PREPARATION MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR MY APPROVAL.

BY THE WAY, WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME BEFORE THE BIG DAY, SO GET GOING. YOU MAY USE CLASS TIME AND WE WILL MEET AFTER SCHOOL EACH DAY UNTIL THE DAY OF COMPETITION. (NOTE: I WILL ALLOW "CLASS TIME" FOR STUDYING, AS LONG AS IT IS USED CONSTRUCTIVELY.)
