3.) As a whole class, students will discuss cultural comparisons related to how "naipes" are used in different regions of the world.
4.) While using a deck of "naipes," the instructor will randomly assign a new speaking partner for each student.
5.) Paired students will choose a new assigned seat for this class.

1.) Individually, students will turn in any signed paperwork (from the syllabus).
2.) As a whole group, students will discuss the upcoming Open House event for parents/guardians (TONIGHT at 6:00pm!).
3.) As a whole group, students will discuss the restroom/locker pass sign-out policy.
4.) Individually, students will be assigned numbers and record signatures for using class laptop computers and class set textbooks.
5.) As a whole group, the students will review various home/chore-related vocabulary from textbook pp. 170 - 171.
TAREA (HOMEWORK): Aside from turning in signed sheets and purchasing necessary items for this class, students should review the 2nd half of Chapter 5 at home as a self-study/review activity. Many teachers did not spend as much time as needed in the last half of Chapter 5; however, I will not be spending much time reviewing that chapter. We will spend about one week discussing the 2nd half of Chapter 5 and then move on to Chapter 6. PLEASE BE SURE TO REVIEW CHAPTER 5 ON YOUR OWN OVER THE NEXT WEEK AND SEE ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.

3.) Individually, students will review vocabulary terms on text pp. 170 - 171.
4.) As a whole group, students will practice the "Rima de Adverbios" (Adverb Rhyme).
5.) Individually, students will choose 20 words they do NOT know from the Unit 5 vocabulary #2 sheet [SEE ME FOR A COPY!] and begin creating Concept Cards. On one side of a standard 3x5 card, the student will write the word in SPANISH ONLY. On the other side, the student will draw a PICTURE of the word or phrase and COLOR it. [DO NOT USE ENGLISH! SEE ME FOR ANY QUESTIONS.]
