Fairview - Cholet Exchange
DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
Before Day 1:
Approximately 8:00 pm (EDT) Bus leaves Cholet for 5-hour ride to Paris.
Day 1: Tuesday, October 14
3:55 am EDT (9:55 am Paris time): Continental Flight 057 leaves Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris.
12:10 pm: Continental Flight 057 arrives in Newark.
5:00 pm: Continental Flight 2267 leaves Newark.
6:20 pm: Continental Flight 2267 arrrives in Buffalo.
8:30 pm: Cholet students and teachers arrive by bus at the FHS parking lot. Brief reception follows. Host familes take guests home.
Day 2: Wednesday, October 15
Please stop by Mr. Hall's room to see for sure what will happen at the very beginning. It will be confusing.
One possibility: Host students will take their guests to homeroom and then to all of their classes.
Another possibility: The Cholet teachers will want to meet with the students in a classroom to be determined later. If this is the case, a time will be set as to when the host would pick up the student. Then you will follow the host student's schedule.
1:30 pm: Powder Puff Football Game
Bonfire this evening.
Day 3: Thursday, October 16
Hosts should bring the exchange students to Mr. Hall's classroom. Everyone will stay there (or in the cafeteria) until departure time.
All day excursion to Titusville. For the itinerary click here.
Day 4: Friday, October 17
Today only, all of the exchange students must eat during lunch A. Please let them know that they should report to Mr. Hall's room after lunch.
Afternoon excursion to Waterford. For the itinerary click here.
Day 5: Saturday, October 18
Homecoming dance.
Day 6: Sunday, October 19
No events scheduled.
Day 7: Monday, October 20
Hosts should bring the exchange students to Mr. Hall's classroom. Everyone will stay there (or in the cafeteria) until departure time.

Day 8: Tuesday, October 21
No events scheduled. Regular day of classes.
Every Tuesday and Thursday is a swim night at the FHS pool from 7:30 until 9:00. This night is open on our schedule. Attendance is optional, of course . Cost is $2.00 per person.
Day 9: Wednesday, October 22
Hosts should bring the exchange students to Mr. Hall's classroom. Everyone will stay there (or in the cafeteria) until departure time.
All day excursion to Pittsburgh. For the itinerary click here.
Day 10: Thursday, October 23
Morning: Presentation by Mr. Kessler in Mr. Hall's classroom. (Students in Mr. Hall's 1st period class will also see presentation.) Please take exchange students to Mr. Hall's room (or cafeteria). The presentation should last until the end of second period. Hosts will be informed when it's time to pick up the Cholet guests
After presentations, French students will accompany their hosts for the remainder of the day.
Day 11: Friday, October 24
Hosts should bring the exchange students to Mr. Hall's classroom. Everyone will stay there (or in the cafeteria) until departure time.

Day 13: Sunday, October 26

Day 14: Monday, October 27
5:30 pm: Farewell dinner in FHS cafeteria.
Day 15: Tuesday, October 28
3:00 am: Cholet students and teachers leave FHS by bus for the Buffalo airport.
6:30 am: Continental Flight 2082 leaves Buffalo.
7:44 am: Continental Flight 2082 arrrives in Newark.
Cholet students and teachers spend the day touring New York City.
6:20 pm: Continental Flight 056 leaves Newark.
Day 16: Wednesday, October 29
1:40 am EDT (7:40 am Paris time): Continental Flight 056 arrives in Paris. From there, there's a five hour bus ride back to Cholet.
