Dear Host Families,
Once again I'd like to thank you for hosting a Cholet student next month. The sacrifices and contributions you will make for this program will be greatly appreciated by me and especially by our friends from Cholet.
I'd also like to welcome those of you who have just recently joined us as a host.
Website reminder
Please remember to check out our Cholet Exchange Website
(http://www.quia.com/pages/echfairviewcholet.html), and click on the link for October, 2003. The pages have been updated. Most notable are the list of students and hosts and the itinerary.
Also remember the link that says "every update" and you'll see links to just that. So far there are only three including "Host Family Responsibilities". If you ever misplace an update, you can always find it there.
Also on that page is a link to possible free time ideas. If you have some free time and are wondering what you could do with your guest, check this page. Also, if you have any suggestions I could add to this list, let me know.
Excursions
Remember, since you are hosting, you are permitted to go on one of the excursions your guests will take. There are a few conditions. You can only go on one trip (teachers will understandably be upset if you miss too many classes). There is a limit as to how many hosts can go on a trip (due to space on the bus). And because of that limit, we will operate on a "first come, first served" basis. Once you turn in your money and permission slip, I'll officially count you in.
Included are excursions to Titusville,
Waterford,
Niagara Falls,
Pittsburgh, and
Cleveland.
That's about it for this update. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Merci!
Monsieur
