Welcome to the Eighth Grade Team 3 Web Page! 2009-2010 This page contains general information about Eighth Grade Team 3 and upcoming events. For specific information about Team 3 Expectations, a teacher or subject, please use the appropriate link listed at the end of this page. Please feel free to contact us when you have a question or concern. Eighth grade is an exciting year for our students. It is apparent that they are changing into young adults. Our students appreciate the challenge of becoming thoughtful and responsible citizens and eagerly look forward to "the high school." As teachers, we do our best to help them reach that goal. We encourage our students to participate in school activities, support school spirit, and use their own ideas and character to make Pizitz a better school. We maintain high expectations of student behavior, learning, and responsibility. Foremost, we want our students to awake each morning and look forward to their day at Pizitz. We do our best to catch students in the act of "doing good." When a student has been observed being a good friend, showing good citizenship, being helpful, improving academic work, etc., a teacher will issue an Achievement Slip. Achievement Slips are also given for honor roll and outstanding conduct when reports cards are issued. Once a student has accumulated three Achievement Slips, the homeroom teacher will exchange them for a Recognition Card. A Recognition Card can be used to sit at a different lunch table or on the patio, to go to the front of the concession line, or for prizes on Pirate Day. Team 3 teachers also allow one Recognition Card to be used for bonus on a test once during each nine-weeks. Please use the link below to Team 3 Expectations for more information.
