will provide you with project-based instruction that introduces you to the principles of business in the 21st century while refreshing your keyboarding skills. The curriculum will help you to use computers effectively in your life, while providing a connection of computer science and business concepts. Throughout the nine weeks you will engage in the following units enriched with "Royal Teaching and Learning:"

Computer Applications:
Lords and Ladies will acquire basic knowledge and skills of Ms Excel and PowerPoint. Skills are demonstrated by creating and completing assignments and projects. Students will also learn and apply graphic designing skills.

Computer Fundamentals:
I will introduce Lords and Ladies to the basic computer components and the evolution of computers. Students will learn the process of how computers work. Using presentation software students will collaborate, design and present their new computer.

Keyboarding and Ergonomics:
Lords and Ladies will utilize web based software to develop and enhance their keyboarding skills. They will develop keyboarding skills by touch with speed (Gross Words A Minute-GWAM) and accuracy. They will complete typing tests or typing competitions weekly. Typing tests are given based on GWAM goals.

21st Century Skills:
Lords and Ladies will demonstrate employability skills such as working in a team, problem solving and organizational skills. They will develop and model employability skills.

Literacy in the Content:
Lords and Ladies of the Computer and Keyboarding Castle will enhance reading in all curriculum areas. Students will build vocabulary knowledge.
