will provide you with project-based instruction that introduces you to the principles of business in the 21st century while refreshing your keyboarding skills. The curriculum will help you to use computers effectively in your life, while providing a connection of computer science and business concepts. Throughout the nine weeks you will engage in the following units enriched with "Royal Teaching and Learning."

Elite Entrepreneurs (webquest)- You will learn and practice the skills and traits of entrepreneurs. You will work independently to discover the risks of being an entrepreneur.

Computing for the Queen-You will develop and apply selected skills in Microsoft Excel. After gaining knowledege of entrepreneurship and operating your own online "lemonade stand," you will input and graph your results. You will then using Microsoft Word to type your reflection questions and answers to be submitted to Her Majesty.

Two C's of Royalty-Careers and Colleges will provide you with the opportunity to assess your current interest and identify a future career that matches your interest. You will engage in the decision making process by choosing a future career based on the following facts: salary and wages, projected need, skills and task. You will decide on a future college based on the following facts: major, tuition, location, room and board. You will learn how to calculate college cost and differentiate between salary and wages.

Keying for the Queen-You will utilize the software "Microtype 4" to develop and enhance your keyboarding skills. You will develop speed and accuracy while learning proper keyboarding techniques. You will complete typing test or competitions every Tuesday and Thursday. Each test you will need to obtain a specific GWAM (Gross Words A Minute) while maintaining the standard accuracy level of no more than 5 errors. Some of you will master typing time through practice.
