We will be celebrating the holidays with a breakfast on Dec. 17. I have sent emails, and thanks to Libby Flippo, a hand out with information and requests for food needed. If you haven't sent it back yet, we have enough donut donations, so please pick something else. We are also set on jelly! I appreciate your quick responses. I also appreciate the generosity that has been coming in for our family who suffered the home fire. You all are wonderful.
Just like I promised, the students have got the hang of Ah-ha. We just tested on unit 8 and the grades are very good. We will do unit 9 this week, and then start back in January.
You child has a different type of AR goal this quarter. They have been given a sheet with all of the information. They will be reading 4 different types of books: How- To, Biography, Newbery Award Winner, and one of their own choice. Two projects must be completed from the first 3 types of books. They can be read in any order. Don't forget the deadline for AR. All 4 books and both projects should be completed by Dec. 15.
We have a field trip coming up in January. We are taking the students who met AR requirements, had no more than 10 team fouls, no ISS or OSS to the movies on January 6. The total cost will be 9 dollars. Make sure your AR is completed in time.
