Congratulations on selecting Statistics as one of your courses this year. Statistics is a college level course that will require work to be successful. It is an advanced placement (AP) course, which means in May you will have to take an AP exam. If you score 3 or higher (out of 5) on the exam, the AP Grant program that Marion is a part of will reward you with a $100 prize. As part of the AP Grant program there will be a couple of Saturday classes that you will be required to attend. These classes could also be rewarding as some cool door prizes will be awarded.
Statistics is also a dual credit (DC) course with Wytheville Community College (WCC) and by successfully completing it you will get credit for Math 241 and 242, a total of 6 credit hours.
