PowerPoint assignments

This marking period projects are "open ended".  You should never be saying "Ok, I'm done now so I am going to ...."fill that in whith your favorite non class activity.  I can only show you some of what you need to know, so much more rests in your searching, finding and trying information about the programs.  The "A" student will be the student who seeks to learn more than the basics that I show you in class.

Create a PowerPoint presentation on one of the Topics listed.
alternate topic if assigned: create a presentation of a toic of interest to you.
Objectives

1. Students will use PowerPoint to present information on topics.
2. Student will use The rules of Presentation as presented in class to create an informative project.
3. Students will format slides with color, font, design, and provide Hyperlinks to all research URL's or project URL.
4. Students will plan time effectively to finish on time.

Requirements and things/terms to know or understand for the presentation:

• transition - what is it?
• animation - what is it?
• custom animation - what is it?
• how to search for clip art on hard drive.
• what is a slide?
• a serif is a foot like item at the bottom ot the letter, Times Roman font is an example of "serif" font and ariel is an example of "sans-serif" font.

Requirements
1. your slides must have good color contrast
2. you may not use more than 6 lines of info after the title per page.
3. You must avoid using sentences - use key words.
4. The minium font size is 40 points.
5. you must use only sans-serif fonts
6. you must have a title page and end page.
7. you must have links to source URL's
8. you must hand in a "6slide per page handout" printout of your presentation.
