Students should be practicing daily, listening to jazz music daily and reviewing their music. Students should spend a total of 20-60 minutes a day practicing, listening and reviewing. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.
Jazz, as defined by Wynton Marsalis, is kicking the butt of the blues while swinging together in 4/4 time.
