Dear English 10 and American Literature Parents,
Happy Holidays! I have posted the first semester final exam study guides on my website for each course I teach. Therefore, please review the study guide with your student. I would like for them to have the opportunity to ask me any questions prior to our holiday break. Please encourage your student to begin the study guide over the holiday break. It is not required for them to complete it over the break, but I do want them to refresh their memory on the skills we learned since the beginning of the semester.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement. This is a wonderful community, and I am happy to be a part of it!

Late Work Policy
Mrs. Anzalone follows the late work policy set by the English department:
• If you are in the building on the day an assignment is due, you must turn it in to your teacher by the start of class, regardless of whether you attend class or not.
• Late work will be scored according to the following scale:
o Up to 1 day late: 25% deduction
o 2 days late: 50% deduction
o More than 2 days late: no credit
Turnitin.com Policy: All students are required to submit major writing assignments to Turnitin.com as outlined in the school handbook. Please refer to the school handbook for more specific details.

STUDENTS APPLYING TO COLLEGE: If you know of the college that you will be applying to and you are thinking of requesting Mrs. Anzalone to write a letter of recommendation for you, please take note:
E-mail Mrs. Anzalone at kanzalone@saintviator.com.
In the subject of the e-mail, please write "Letter of Recommendation Request".
In the content of the e-mail, please include the following:
- Date the letter is due
- Where to send the letter
- Topics to Address
- A possible attachment of the letter requirements
