Welcome to the 7th grade 7B English Home Page! If you are in Mrs. Koens Vavala's (KV's) class, you are in the right place!
I am currently continuing to implement new curriculum this year through Pearson as well as new class novels. The adoption of this new curriculum along with the continued use of chrome books will make for an eventful year! I am excited for both!
Please do check Synergy to see your child's updated grades. When I am able to, I put in future assignments, projects, and tests, and this helps you be aware of due dates.
Reading at home is extremely beneficial and important! Students should be reading at home every day for 15 to 20 minutes.
In addition to the new curriculum, students will do book projects every quarter. We will do at least one per quarter and may also align book projects with required class novels. I will communicate via the website and e-mails home regarding book projects and other important assignments.
