Welcome to SoBoCo Family and Consumer Sciences Homepage! This is my web connection for you to access course information, class calendars, homework due dates, and project information.
As we enter the 4th quarter, Foods students will be exploring multicultural foods, Sewing students will be focusing on completing commercial pattern projects and projects of their own choosing. Child Development students will be experiencing the BTIO project and learning about the growth and development of small children from 1 year old to school age.
Spring is upon us and students are often more distracted during this time of the year. Try to balance your outdoor time and fun with focus on your assignments to keep your grades where you'd like them to be for the last part of the year.
As we near the end of the semester, please keep on top of your assignments and projects. If you miss a lab in foods class, arrange to make up the work at home or with Mrs. Mohlman in time to get a grade before the next rotation of progress checks!
Any student who is interested in sewing or mending a clothing item is welcome to come in to work or get instruction/assistance during open sewing lab hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons until 4:30. Other days by appointment and longer hours by previous arrangement. No experience necessary! If you have a machine at home and want to learn to use it, bring it in and we can learn to operate it. No project is too small!
Also, I'd like to remind students that I have the Lab 9 Computer lab open before school, Mon. thru Fri. each week for student use. It is open between 7:15 adn 7:45 a.m. Drop in to work on those projects!
The end of the year is upon us! Students are encouraged to knuckle down and prepare for finals. The finals schedules are:
