Week of March 26, 2007
Good-bye, Curtis, by Kevin Henkes, is the story of a mail carrier who has had the same route for forty-two years. His neighbors view Curtis as a trusted community worker and treasured friend. On his last day on the job they show Curtis their appreciation by giving him gifts and a surprise retirement party. Writing thank-you notes is a snap for Curtis - he knows everyone's address by heart!
Your child can review and practice the vocabulary words and definitions for Good-bye, Curtis by clicking the Java Games link in the Quia activities section below.
