The Warriors Team earned a 7th Place Final State ranking in Girls, Class 3A, in 2007 and 9th in 2008.

For 2008-2009, Katelynn Surber and Samie Sellmeyer were named 2nd Team, All Conference; Hannah Arredondo was named Honorable Mention. Samie Sellmeyer was named to the All District Team.

St. Pius will begin the 2009-2010 season with new head coach John Coakley, who joined the St. Pius X faculty as a theology teacher this past year and coached the freshmen girls team. Mr. Bob Fenzel will remain the varsity assistant and JV coach. The freshman assistant will be Mr. Richard Murphy.

The 2009-2010 girls will return several letter winners -- Katelynn Surber, Jordan Schumacher, Alex Monachino, Mary Westerman, Lizzy Albani, Hannah Arredondo and Hilary Torres (seniors); in addition, juniors Katie Gengler and Paige Messina and sophomore Lexie Oak will compete for playing time along with several JV players from the 2008-2009 team. Pius will continue to be 3A for at least one more year, as the new classifications for 2008-2009 now verify.
