Spring is here with beautiful blooming flowers and trees however individuals with environmental allergies find this time of year causes severely itchy eyes, runny noses and coughs. May is National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month. With more than 60 million American children and adults with asthma and allergies, including seasonal allergies and food allergies, it is a wonderful time to bring increased awareness to these conditions.
Asthma and allergies to foods, medications, inhaled environmental substances, insects, are very serious conditions. Proper management is the key to controling the symptoms and leading a healthy life. For more information visit the link below for the asthma and allergy foundation.
IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR KINDERGARTEN PARENTS
Don't forget to make an appointment for your child's physical examination before kindergarten. Important immunizations are given at his/her 5 year check up!!
Check the links below for a list of those immunizations. They are required by law to have been given by the start of kindergarten.
If your child has a severe allergy to food or insect bites or if your child will need to take medication in school, please call or e-mail me. I will send the necessary paperwork to be completed over the summer. It is important to have a plan in place before the start of school.
