Math - Period 1 - Students have begun Unit 12, Areas of Plane Figures. Students will work on area of quadrilaterals, parallelograms, triangles, trapezoids, and circles. Students will need to memorize formulas for area .
Quick recall of basic facts is a necessity. 15 min of nightly review is recommended.



Math - Period 2 - Students have begun Unit 10, Ratio and Proportion. Students will work on ratios, unit rate, proportions, corresponding sides, corresponding angles, indirect measurement, scales, and scale drawings.
Quick recall of basic facts is a necessity. 15 min of nightly review is recommended.



Religion - Period 3 - Students have begun chapter 18 & 19 in We Believe. Students will study prophets, Roman rule, Mary, and John the Baptist.


Science - Period 5 - Students are studying Chapter 12, Atoms and Elements. We will discuss the compostition of matter, elements, compounds, and the 4 states of matter.
All students are expected to keep a binder which we are adding to daily. Students have been taught a modified version of Cornell notetaking. These notes are kept in the binder in the order completed and are available for studying nightly. Students have been shown how to take the notes and techniques for studying from them. Please check binders and have your child explain the techniques!
