Journal entry.  Go to Mayo Clinic site and look up catheterization of the heart.  Read and then write what you have learned.  This is what my husband just had.

CM05.00 Create a career plan that leads to the achievement of career goals.

Write or type definitions below 5 times.  Write a sentence using each vocabulary word appropriately in a sentence.  Turn in all work at end of period.  Be sure to put your heading on your paper.  Use the word VOCABULARY 5.00 as the assignment in the heading. Attainable: To achieve especially by effort.

Career ladder: A sequence or related jobs – from entry-level to advanced – available at different education/training levels.

Career plan: A list of steps including activities, work experience, and education/training needed to reach a career goal; step-by-step plan of action including career information influenced by the ultimate career goal; a written outline (time schedule) of what a person wants to achieve including details of how goals will be achieved.

Compromise: Something that combines qualities or elements of different things; to give up something to reach a decision.

Consequences: Something that logically or naturally follows from an action or condition; the relation of a result to its cause.

Culture: Customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or social group.

Decision: A choice or judgment; helps to meet goals; the question that needs to be answered in the decision making process.

Environment: The circumstances, objects, or conditions by which one is surrounded.

Evaluation: Comparing and contrasting sets of data to rank them and make a choice to develop a plan.

Flextime: A schedule that allows workers to choose work hours that fit their particular needs.

Human resource: That skill, knowledge, experience, and/or time that a person has inside himself or herself that can be used to help reach a goal.

Impulsive decision: Choices you make quickly.

Intuitive: Using a hunch to help make a decision.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 9
Complete your research paper.  Be sure to check Monday's lesson plan to make sure you have done everything required.  Make sure you have someone proofread your paper and sign at the bottom of the first page.  You MUST have atleast two pages and a reference page.
You may do a powerpoint presentation for an additional test grade.  If you do, print with 6 slides to the page and turn in.  Any words in your report that you do not know the definition, you should go to dictionary on line and write down or type the definition as it relates to your paper.  If you have no words, you should be able to take a test on the words in your paper and make a 100.  Attach notes and definitions to your paper.

Continue working on research of the Queen of England.  Due Wednesday, May 9.  Check to make sure you have followed ALL instructions before you turn it in.

MONDAY, MAY 7.
Class Assignment.  The present Queen of England has been visiting the United States.  Research information of the history of the Queen of England.  How does one become the Queen of England?  What kind of govenment does England have?  What part does the Queen play in this form of government AND MUCH MORE.
Type or write a 2 OR MORE PAGE research paper on what you have learned.
Do not copy and paste.  You will receive a zero for a test grade if you copy and paste.
Take notes and then write. 
Be sure to include on a separate page athe the end your references (web pages you used).  Type the word REFERENCES 2" from the top of the last page then list web page addresses used.
First page should begin on line 10 from the top.
Second page begins 6 lines from top.  You will have to set your top margin on "0" to do this. Left, right and bottom margin-1".
Double space document. 
Do spell check. 
You may use graphics.
Have someone proofread your paper and sign that they proofed it.  They will get a       proofreading grade in addition to writing their paper.  Everyone has to proofread someone's paper and make corrections.
Use correct heading by going to VIEW, HEADER AND FOOTER and type name (last first), Date, QUEEN OF ENGLAND, the period.
DO YOUR BEST WORK!!!!  THIS IS A TEST GRADE AND IS RECORDED TWICE.  A MAJOR GRADE.

JOURNAL ENTRY.  Write about what you have learned this semester about yourself and how it will affect the career you choose.  i.e. like to work indoors, like to work with people, etc.

Powerpoint Presentation.  Decision-Making Steps
Discuss each part and students take notes.

Think of a situation when you made a decision only to change your mind at the last minute or later to wish that you could go back and do something different?  Write an essay explaining the decision, outcome and decision making approach used.  also explain how the situation could have more effectively been handled with thoughtful decision making.


MAY 1, TUESDAY
Journal Entry.  Go to FOX NEWS and read the article about Al Qaeda in Iraq Chief Abu Ayyub al-Masri Killed in Battle With Rival Insurgents.  Do you think he has been killed? If yes, why and if no, why? Two paragraphs.

After completing pages 443 and 444 and turning them in.  Put them in the black basket. Complete page 446.  Draw a tree with branches and put in your relatives first names and what they do or did for a living--mother, father, sister, brother, aunts, uncles, grandfather and grandmother--living or dead doesn't matter.  Evaluate what affect their job choices may have on you.  Write an essay explaining this.  Turn in when finished.  Be sure to spell check, check grammar and write atleast 4 paragraphs.
