I think Quia has increased students' grades. The students can take quiz sessions as often as they like in preparation for a test, while I only grade the first one I receive to ensure that they cannot cheat. I also allow no feedback until test time arrives and the date for getting assignments in has passed. For study purposes, they can have all the feedback they want....
