To help with the listening papers in SQA exams, the vocabulary in this section has been grouped by word type, rather than theme.
Each group has around 30 words or phrases.
There is just the one activity in this section - flashcards.
Here is how to use it:
1. Each flashcard has an audio symbol on one side to remind you to click on the "Play audio" button.
2. Try and recognise what is said.
3. Click on the flashcard to reveal the answer.
4. If you were right click on "Remove card", and the number of cards left in your pile goes down.
5. If you were wrong click on "Try again later", and the number of cards left stays the same. This one will keep re-appearing until you get it right.
6. Keep going until you have learnt them all really well!
NB: At any time you can click on "list of terms" to see the word list in full - click on the audio symbols to hear the words spoken.
